‘Boyhood,’ ‘Grand Budapest Hotel,’ ‘Lego Movie’ win editing honors

“Boyhood,†“The Grand Budapest Hotel,†“The Lego Movie†and “Citizenfour†made the cut, winning the 65th American Cinema Editors Eddie Awards for best edited feature films of 2014 on Friday evening.

Sandra Adair won the award for dramatic film for editing Richard Linklater’s coming-of-age saga “Boyhood,†while Barney Pilling won the award for comedy/musical for cutting Wes Anderson’s concierge caper, “Grand Budapest.â€

Adair and Pilling are also Oscar nominees for film editing.

“Lego†editors David Burrows and Chris McKay claimed the prize for animated feature, while “Citizenfour†editor Mathilde Bonnefoy won the documentary award.

Producer Frank Marshall (“Raiders of the Lost Ark,†“Back to the Future,†“The Sixth Senseâ€) received the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year honor, which was presented by Chris Pratt, star of Marshall’s upcoming “Jurassic World.â€

Career awards were bestowed upon Diane Adler and Jerry Greenberg.

On the television side, winners included “Veep†(Anthony Boys), “Sherlock†(Yan Miles), “True Detective†(Affonso Goncalves), “The Normal Heart†(Adam Penn) and “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown†(Hunter Gross).
