Khloe Kardashian ‘thrilled ... nervous’ to co-host ‘The X-Factor’
Khloe Kardashian has confirmed it: She’ll be co-hosting the live shows of “The X Factor†with Mario Lopez this season.
“I’m a huge fan of the show so I literally fell over in my chair when I heard that I was being considered for the role,†the reality-TV star wrote on her blog Tuesday, the same day the show announced the news.
“The show already has such an incredible panel of judges and it is truly an honor to have been given this opportunity to work with them. I’m thrilled, overjoyed and of course a little nervous about this new step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started. Wish me luck!
“American Idol†host Ryan Seacrest laid out the welcome mat, tweeting, “Welcome @khloekardashian + @mariolopezextra to our host treehouse. For the record, ‘dim the lights’ is mine, don’t even try.â€
Kardashian and Lopez join judges Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, and co-replace original host Steve Jones.
Jones, who had his share of detractors during the show’s first season, had said last year that he’d like to return to the “dream job,†noting that “I always exercise caution in these matters. If I’m back I’ll be overjoyed, if not I’ll do something else, it’s as simple as that.â€
Something else, then.
Jones was, however, getting some customer-service love from Arco this week regarding its bathroom at Fairfax and Sunset.
