SERIES

24 Hours in the ER: This 14-part documentary, premiering with two episodes, was filmed around the clock over 28 days to highlight the stories of those who come in needing the most urgent medical care and follows up with the lucky ones who recover (6 and 7; 9 and 10 p.m. BBC America).

NCIS: When a squeaky-clean young Marine shows up for his homecoming party with a fatal stab wound, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) digs into his past and uncovers some startling information. Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo and David McCallum also star in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

Glee: Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) decides that some of the glee club members could use some intensive training and sets up a “boot camp.” Idina Menzel, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele also star in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).

Frontline: The new episode “The Man Behind the Mosque” looks at the controversy surrounding a proposal to build a mosque a few blocks away from ground zero (9 p.m. KOCE).

Body of Proof: The young wife of a tycoon is shot dead during a family hunting outing, and Megan (Dana Delany) is so convinced that the husband (Jay Karnes) did it that she openly accuses him in this new episode (10 p.m. ABC).

POV: More than 240 million people in China have left their home villages to go to work in urban factories. Most only get home once a year — Chinese New Year. The documentary “Last Train Home” profiles one couple who left their small children behind with grandparents 16 years ago to go to work in the city of Guangszhou, 1,300 miles away (10 p.m. KOCE).

Chopped Champions: A two-time champion we named in the season finale (10 p.m. Food).

MOVIES

Catching Hell: With five outs remaining in the 2003 National League Championship Series, Cubs fan Steve Bartman tipped a foul ball away from Cubs left fielder Moises Alou, and a series-turning Florida Marlins rally ensued (5 p.m. ESPN).

SPORTS

Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Diamondbacks (6:30 p.m. KCAL); the Rangers visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN; FS Prime).
