Actor Anthony Daniels discusses his character, C-3PO, at the premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.â€
Very few actors can point to one character or film to which they owe their entire career. But Anthony Daniels can. Since 1977, he’s played and voiced one of the most integral characters to the “Star Wars†franchise: fan favorite droid C-3PO.
“It’s quite a responsibility,†he said in an interview with The Times on the “Star Wars: The Forces Awakens†world premiere red carpet. “It really is an honor.â€
The Britain-born actor has been in every major “Star Wars†picture and most of its associated properties: holiday specials, television spinoffs, video games.
Check out the video above, where he talks about the role and why people continue to love it 40 years later.
