The details of Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder’s secret wedding are not so secret anymore!
The actors’ nuptials got the glossy treatment in Brides magazine, with several intimate day-of photos hitting the web on Monday.
The “Twilight†actress and “The Vampire Diaries†heartthrob threw a surprise wedding for their family and friends on April 26 that they billed as a housewarming party. The couple then shuttled their guests to a ceremony site in the Topanga Canyon, where they exchanged vows and threw a casual reception for the attendees.
“We really wanted our wedding to be small, intimate, and about the two of us. We didn’t want our loved ones to show up with any expectations or squeezed into formal attire,†Reed told the mag, saying that they opted for “a Louisiana backyard-barbecue fee, with food stations and a dance floor.â€
The New Orleans vibe also made its way into the reception with the music. since Somerhalder is a NOLA native.
The 27-year-old “Sleepy Hollow†actress said that the celebration was “really all about the food, the dancing and the love.â€
Their professional photographs showcase sweet moments between the bride and groom and were taken by Glass Jar Photography. They’ll appear exclusively in the bridal magazine’s October/November 2015 issue, which hits newsstands Sept. 8.
The images showcase wedding details and sweet moments between the bride and groom, including the “Lost†alum carrying the smiling brunet beauty in her lace Claire Pettibone gown on a stony path with her dress’ train hanging over his arm. In another, Reed is primped by her bridesmaids, who all wore different dresses in neutral tones.
