Michelle Rodriguez wasn’t in her ‘right mind’ after Paul Walker’s death
Michelle Rodriguez isn’t exactly known for living quietly. But her typical antics were intensified, she said, by her feelings in the wake of “Furious 7†costar Paul Walker’s death.
Make that her lack of feeling, actually.
“I was pushing myself to feel†after Walker’s accidental death in November 2013, she told Entertainment Weekly. “I felt like nothing I could do could make me feel alive, so I just kept pushing myself harder and harder. I was traveling and I was having sex. And I was just trying to ignore everything that I was feeling.â€
She used words like “binge†and “crazy†to describe her behavior.
“A lot of the stuff I did last year,†Rodriguez said, “I would never do had I been in my right mind.â€
Stuff like the stuff with Cara Delevigne? The stuff with Zac Efron? Yeah, we’re guessing that kind of stuff.
And while she told EW that Walker was a grounding force for her over the years, she also noted to Variety that “Paul had a street edge to him.â€
“A lot of people don’t know that,†she said. “He had this Ken doll face, but he was not afraid to punch you in the face. That fire is what made Vin [Diesel] and Paul become brothers overnight.â€
Sounds like it was something that endeared him to Rodriguez as well.
