Report: Lindsay Lohan destroys borrowed $1,750 amFAR gala dress
Lindsay Lohan has been accused of ruining a designer gown she wore to the amFAR gala in New York on Wednesday.
Is anyone really surprised?
The starlet borrowed an elaborately beaded Theia gown, which carried a price tag of $1,750, to wear to the event that took place at Cipriani Wall Street, Us Weekly reported. Then “The Canyons†actress allegedly ripped it while partying after the amFAR gala.

“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] — she couldn’t possibly wear it like that — so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress,†a source told the mag, which obtained a photo of the shorn dress.
The dress was cut in half and is said to have looked like a “mullet†after Lohan was done with it. You know, short in front, long in back.
The once floor-sweeping gown had been obtained by none other than Charlie Sheen, who personally requested that stylist Phillip Bloch dress Lohan for the event.
“The dress was loaned in good faith to Phillip Bloch, Lindsay Lohan’s stylist,†a rep for Theia Couture told ABCNews.com. “We were informed by Mr. Bloch’s assistant that the dress was damaged during the course of the evening. The dress has not been returned, and it wasn’t until we saw the photos in the media that we became aware of the actual condition of the gown.â€
The 26-year-old seems to have trouble understanding the concept of borrowing. In 2011, Lohan claimed that she’d borrowed a necklace from a Venice jewelry store, but the store’s owner disagreed. After the actress pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge, she was sentenced to 120 days of jail time and 480 hours of community service.
