Eva Amurri Martino, Kyle Martino welcome a baby; Susan Sarandon happy
Eva Amurri Martino, daughter of Susan Sarandon, has welcomed a baby girl with husband Kyle Martino.
“What a weekend!,†the 29-year-old tweeted Monday. “@kylemartino are thrilled to announce the arrival of our sweet baby girl! Mama and Daddy love you a zillion, Marlowe Mae.â€
The baby was born Saturday and weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces, according to Eva’s rep, who said the new parents are “thrilled and enjoying the new addition to their family.â€
Soccer announcer and former player Kyle declared, “Can’t believe I’m a dad!!! @4EvaMartino and I are over the moon in love with our little girl Marlowe. #Love.â€
Sarandon shared her first-grandchild joy publicly on Monday as well.
“So happy to share the birth of my granddaughter, Marlowe Mae Martino on 8/9,†the “Dead Man Walking†Oscar winner said on Twitter. “@4EvaMartino and baby perfect, strong, present, beautiful.â€
The new parents got engaged in December 2010 and married in October 2011 in a wedding co-hosted by Sarandon and her ex Tim Robbins, who’d raised Eva from age 3. (The older couple split in December 2009 after 23 years together and are parents to Jack and Miles Robbins.)
Eva’s biological father is French director Franco Amurri, whom Sarandon dated in the mid-’80s. Sarandon’s last name comes courtesy of her first husband; her 12-year marriage to Chris Sarandon ended in 1979.
Eva Amurri Martino’s acting résumé includes recurring roles on “How I Met Your Mother,†“New Girl†and “The Mindy Project.†Kyle Martino, 33, works for NBC Sports.
