It’s American baby time: Chris Klein is expecting his first child.

The sensitive lacrosse player of “American Pie†and his wife, Laina, announced on Monday that they’ll be expanding their family, tweeting a sweet photo of Laina’s growing belly on Klein’s 37th birthday.

“My beautiful wife Laina and I are expecting our first child. 23 weeks along. Gratefully blessed on my 37th B-Day,†the “Election†actor wrote.

Twenty-three weeks would put Laina’s due date sometime in early August, the same month in which they’d be celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary.

Klein and his wife dated for nearly four years before getting engaged in December 2014. The parents-to-be tied the knot last August at Montana’s Rainbow Ranch before jetting off to Italy.

The happy news comes long after the “Wilfred†actor’s two 2010 DUI arrests, jail sentence and subsequent voluntary stint in rehab.

For those missing Klein’s comedic chops, he’ll be guest starring on Tuesday’s episode of Fox’s comedy “The Grinder.†The actor tweeted a pic with series star Rob Lowe to promote the appearance.

“Had an awesome time w/@RobLowe catch it tonight on @TheGrinderFox at 9:30/8:30c on FOX #TheGrinder,†Klein wrote.

Klein’s rep did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.
