She may be Cait, but she’s not yet legally Caitlyn Jenner.

Soon, though. Soon.

Jenner filed documents Tuesday in Los Angeles to legally change her gender from male to female and her name from William Bruce to Caitlyn Marie, according to TMZ.

The website, which obtained the documents Wednesday, said Tuesday that Jenner had asked the court to keep her personal information — specifically a doctor’s declaration — sealed.

“Although public support for my transition has been overwhelmingly supportive, I am also receiving unwelcome negative attention from private citizens, including threats of bodily harm,†the application reads, according to TMZ.

The steps in the name- and gender-change process were discussed in an episode of “I Am Cait,†and in the final episode of the season, the reality star celebrated her new moniker in a religious-based ceremony held at her Malibu home.

Boy George, Candis Cayne and the Gay Men’s Chorus of L.A. performed at the gathering, which was attended by many of the transgender women who appeared in the course of the docu-series.

For an idea of what “soon†might mean: Chaz Bono applied to change his name and gender in the second half of March 2010, and it was all legal by early May of that year.
