With just a few words, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made it clear that, in true older brother fashion, he still knows just what to say to get under his younger brother’s skin.

During this season of “The Bachelorette,†much has been made of contestant Jordan Rodgers’ relationship with his NFL pro brother, often by Jordan himself. Why, it was just a matter of weeks ago that Jordan told JoJo Fletcher, the bachelorette herself, that Aaron has chosen to live his life one way and that Jordan, alternatively, “chose to stay close with my family.â€

Dang.

For his part, Aaron has largely avoided the media circus that accompanies all things “Bacheloretteâ€-related, but a reporter from WISN Sports finally pinned down the Super Bowl MVP on the first day of training camp Tuesday and got the scoop.

While Aaron stops short of telling his brother to “keep his name out yo mouth†he does opt for a little shade before heading for the high road.

“I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m just -- I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition,†Aaron said.

But far and away the best part of Aaron Rodgers weighing in on Jordan’s reality show-based reality was how casually dismissive he was of the entire venture.

“I haven’t seen the show, to be honest with you, so it hasn’t really affected me a whole lot,†Aaron said. You can imagine he threw this out with a practiced casual disdain, as though sniffing and saying, “I don’t even own a TV.â€

With the finale of “The Bachelorette†airing Monday, it’s not difficult to imagine that Aaron Rodgers has probably had the last word in the (underwhelming) battle of the brothers, but it is hard to picture him delivering a more cutting insult to Jordan than basically saying, “Oh, has my brother been on network television every week this summer? I didn’t even notice!â€

Like the world’s worst noogie, but to the soul.
