Felicity Huffman in David Mamet’s ‘November’ at Mark Taper Forum

Felicity Huffman will reunite with playwright David Mamet in the Los Angeles premiere of his election-year comedy “November,” which will run at the Mark Taper Forum this fall. Huffman will be joined by Ed Begley Jr. and Rod McLachlan.
The run at the Taper is set to start Sept. 26 and will end Nov. 4., two days before the presidential election.
“November” is a comedy about a sitting president (Begley Jr.) seeking reelection, and his relationship with a speechwriter (Huffman) and his chief of staff (McLachlan). The play debuted on Broadway in 2008 — another election year — with a cast that included Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf and Dylan Baker.
Huffman, who recently completed her run in ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” has worked with Mamet several times in the past, including on productions of “Speed-the-Plow” and “Boston Marriage.” Both have worked extensively at the Atlantic Theater Co. in New York.
Begley Jr. appeared in Mamet’s “Romance” at the Taper in 2005 and “Cryptogram” at the Geffen Playhouse in 1999.
