She’ll take the Broad for $1,000: How the art museum became a category on ‘Jeopardy!’
What is the Broad? For viewers of “Jeopardy!†the answer will be the downtown Los Angeles art museum featured as a category on the game show Tuesday.
Art and artists featured when the museum opened in September will be one of the categories on the episode airing at 7 p.m. Tuesday on KABC-TV Channel 7.
A representative for the museum said that the Broad was contacted in February about the possibility of being included on the show. Jeopardy’s head writer, Billy Wisse, and show producer Brett Schneider visited the Broad a week after it opened and were given an in-depth tour by assistant curator Ed Schad.
The Broad’s only other notable link with “Jeopardy!†occurred in 2013 when the museum’s associate director of visitor services, Lauren Girard, was a contestant and two-time winner on the show.
