L.A. County jail inmates try to get COVID-19 to be set free

A group of L.A. County jail inmates intentionally tried to infect themselves with the novel coronavirus, hoping that they would then be set free. The scheme was discovered by a trustee inmate and recorded on video that was released by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
