An NBA superstar was among those making a mark in L.A.’s luxury real estate scene in November. Other highwater deals include the sale of a Bel-Air spec mansion with a Motown connection and an ocean-view house in Pacific Palisades. Here’s a larger look.

$24 million — Bel-Air

On Bellagio Road, the home of late philanthropists John and Marion Anderson sold to a pair of limited liability companies for $11 million less than the original asking price.

Situated beyond the East Gate of lower Bel-Air, the Mediterranean-style home features a domed entry, five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in its nearly 10,200 square feet of interior space. There are hand-painted ceilings in the living room, a wood-paneled family room and separate maid’s quarters. His and hers bathrooms and an office make up the master suite.

A swimming pool, two cabanas, a lighted tennis court, a pavilion and lawns lie within the 1.7 acres of grounds.

Richard Ehrlich and Steven Shapiro of Westside Estate Agency were the listing agents. Heidi Tabib of Beverly Hills Best Realty represented the buyer.

$23 million — Brentwood

A limited liability company linked to basketball star LeBron James paid $23 million for a newly built spec mansion on North Tigertail Drive. Two years ago, the same property sold as a vacant lot for $5.1 million, records show.

Sitting up from the street, with city-to-ocean views, the 15,846-square-foot home is furnished with an elevator, a home theater and a custom kitchen with a La Cornue range. A lower level was designed for entertaining and holds a home theater, wine cellar, cigar room and onyx-lined wet bar.

There are eight bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms as well as a spa with a steam room, sauna and massage room.

Oversized glass doors open to an expansive loggia with built-in heaters. A swimming pool and spa complete the grounds.

The corporate entity is the same that was used by James two years ago to buy another home in the Brentwood area for about $21 million.

Santiago Arana of the Agency represented both sides of the deal.

$19.25 million — Bel-Air

Overlooking the Stone Canyon Reservoir on Bel Air Road, a contemporary mansion that replaced late singer-actress Della Reese’s longtime home sold for $4.25 million less than the asking price.

Reese, who died last month at 86, owned a midcentury home with her husband, producer Franklin Lett, on the site for more than 30 years. The couple sold the property in 2014 for $7.5 million, and the new home was completed this year.

The 11,805-square-foot contemporary boasts motorized walls of glass, broad picture windows and an infinity-edge swimming pool.

Two kitchens, a family room and a wine cellar make up the open-plan space that once held Reese’s indoor swimming pool. There are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms including a master retreat consisting of six separate rooms.

Ernie Carswell and Christopher Pickett of Douglas Elliman were the listing agents. Teresa Ting of Masters Realty represented the buyer.

In the 1700 block of Bel Air Road, a new contemporary home designed by Cain Leon of Cain Interiors and Construction sold for $6.9 million less than its February listing. More recently it was priced at $22.5 million, records show.

The hillside estate, built last year, has about 12,600 square feet of living space that includes nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Among amenities are a gym and yoga studio, a wellness center and a cigar room. The master suite features a private swimming pool.

A second pool, a two-bedroom guesthouse, an outdoor kitchen and a motor court make up the grounds.

Aaron Kirman of John Aaroe Group and Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland were the listing agents. Ernie Carswell and Christopher Pickett of Douglas Elliman represented the buyer.

$16.3 million — Pacific Palisades

A limited liability company managed by Behdad Eghbali, managing partner of asset management company Clearlake Capital Group, paid $3.7 million less than the original asking price for a home on Toyopa Drive.

The traditional-style house, built in 1942, sits behind walls and iron gates on a circular lot of about a third of an acre. Picture windows and terrace balconies take full advantage of ocean and canyon views.

Within more than 10,100 square feet of interior space are a formal entry hall, a vaulted-ceiling living room, an updated kitchen, a library, seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Blue-hued walls and a copper-tinted ceiling create visual interest in the oval dining room.

Lawns and flagstone surround a swimming pool in the backyard. Gardens, formal landscaping and a pair of fire pits complete the setting.

Madison Hildebrand and Gina Kirkpatrick of Partners Trust were the listing agents. Hildebrand and Jennifer Chrisman, also with Partners Trust, represented the buyer.
