Actress and comedian Kathy Griffin has finally sold her house in Hollywood Hills for $4.492 million. That’s about $1 million shy of her asking price when she put the gated property up for sale last year.

Actress and comedian Kathy Griffin has finally sold her house in Hollywood Hills for $4.492 million. That’s about $1 million shy of her asking price when she put the gated property up for sale last year.

Set up from the street on a knoll, the 2003-built house has wrap-around terraces on two levels for taking in canyon and city views.

Features of the five-bedroom, six-bathroom house include reflecting pools in the foyer, terrazzo marble floors and contemporary chandeliers. The updated kitchen, outfitted with stainless-steel appliances and two islands, opens to the dining room. There are six fireplaces within nearly 8,100 square feet of interiors.

Outside, the walled setting includes a saltwater swimming pool and spa, an aquarium and a cabana. A covered dining area holds another fireplace.

Griffin, who bought the home more than a decade ago for $2.85 million, won a pair of Emmys for her reality series “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.†Last year she appeared on “RuPaul’s Drag Race†as a guest judge and hosted the E! Series “Fashion Police.â€

The 57-year-old generated intense controversy this year when a photo of her holding a fake severed and bloody head resembling that of President Trump went viral. She apologized for the image, then later retracted her apology.

Griffin lives in a 13,400-square-foot mansion in Bel-Air she purchased last year for $10.85 million.

Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt has sold his Cape Cod-style home in Newport Beach for $3.09 million.

Built in 1967, the blue-hued two-story presents itself as a vacation retreat with income potential, with kitchens on each level and three separate living areas. The 2,500 square feet of living space features custom millwork, wainscoting, five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Wraparound balconies and a rooftop deck take in panoramic ocean views. A small patio area sits off the front of the home.

The property is about half a block from the beach on a corner lot. There are three parking spaces, including an attached two-car garage.

Tracy Bowie of Villa Real Estate and Cathy Titus of Coldwell Banker Property Shoppe were the listing agents. Steven Lenoir of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.

Dirnt, 45, is a founding member of Green Day. Among the rock group’s hits is “American Idiot,†“Boulevard of Broken Dreams†and “Basket Case.†Two years ago, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Dirnt bought the property in 2015 for $3 million, records show.

Local star is ready to pass

Houston Rockets forward Trevor Ariza, who won an NBA title with the Lakers in 2009, is selling his Tarzana home. The asking price is $3.5 million.

The approximately 1-acre contemporary Mediterranean estate, built in 1990, includes a main house, a guest casita, a swimming pool and a basketball half-court.

Among features are dark wood floors, contemporary stonework, a step-down living room and a movie theater. The chef’s kitchen, which has a center island, opens to a family room with a wet bar.

There are five bedrooms and eight bathrooms in nearly 8,700 square feet of living space. A gym, lounge and barber station are within the guesthouse.

Ariza bought the walled and gated estate five years ago for $2.345 million, records show.

The 32-year-old Ariza was a player with UCLA and a standout on the Westchester High School basketball team. A 14-year NBA veteran, he has played the last four seasons with the Rockets.

New tough guy cast in Sherman Oaks

The onetime home of Oscar-winning actor James Coburn has sold in Sherman Oaks for $4.4 million.

Expanded and reimagined by the sellers, the compound centers on a 1950s contemporary set on 2.5 acres. Surrounded by mature landscaping and towering trees, the two-story home is reached by a long driveway that terminates at a motor court.

The 7,670 square feet of living space includes a skylighted great room, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The downstairs master wing opens to a swimming pool. The property also has a three-car garage and a gardener’s workshop.

Coburn, who died in 2002 at 74, sold the house in 1996 for $865,000, public records show. The western and tough-guy film actor was in such films as “The Magnificent Seven,†“The Great Escape†and “Our Man Flint.†He won an Academy Award for supporting actor for “Affliction†(1997).

Mediterranean ball in Hollywood Hills

A onetime home of actress Halle Berry is for sale in Hollywood Hills West for $3.795 million.

Berry bought the Mediterranean villa in 1994 with her husband at the time, baseball player David Justice, for $1.585 million. She sold it more than a decade later for $4.15 million, records show.

Built in 1989, the multilevel house boasts high ceilings, gallery walls, three bedrooms and 3.25 bathrooms.

The 4,315 square feet of open-plan living space centers on a large living room that opens to a loggia and swimming pool. A wall of windows in the dining room takes in garden views. The kitchen, which has a broad center island, has been modernized.

A flagstone patio surrounds the pool and spa in the backyard. Views from the site take in the city lights and canyon.

Drew Fenton and Justin Paul Huchel of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, hold the listing.

Berry, 51, is known for her Oscar-winning role in “Monster’s Ball†(2001) as well as the “X-Men†films. This year she starred in the mystery-thriller “Kidnap†and had a part in the action film “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.â€
