This modernist residence in Hollywood Hills West is a pristine example of boxcar design, a style developed by the home’s architect, Richard Neutra, in the late 1950s and ’60s.
Named the Loring House for its onetime owner, choreographer Eugene Loring, the 1958-built home was later expanded by Escher GuneWardena, which added a master suite and bathroom to the original footprint. A complementary guesthouse/art studio was designed by Steven Ehrlich and completed in 1981.
