Pop singer Sia lands an artsy Mediterranean
Australian singer-songwriter Sia has bought a home in Los Feliz for $4.7 million, according to area real estate sources not authorized to comment on the deal.
The 1924 Mediterranean is described in the listing as a masterpiece and enchanting. Designed by Angelus Temple architect A.F. Leicht, known for his fanciful designs, the home features ornate accents, wood carvings, stained-glass murals and elaborately shaped ceilings.
The centerpiece living room contains a sunken sun room with cityscape views. A formal entry, a dining room, a den, a billiards room, a library/study, five bedrooms and five bathrooms are within the 5,000 square feet of living space.
The more than one-third acre of landscaped grounds include a spa.

Sia, 39, last year released her sixth studio album, “1000 Forms of Fear,” which contains the popular single “Chandelier.” The big-voiced singer, who has been hailed as a “pop savant” and an “art-pop superstar,” combines hip-hop and funk elements while drawing heavily from soul.
The property previously sold three years ago for $3.307 million, public records show.
Anthony Marguleas of Amalfi Estates and Jon Grauman of The Agency were the listing agents, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
