Ryan Sheckler may be trading his skateboards for surfboards if a recent home purchase gives any indication.
The professional skateboarder and X Games gold medalist recently bought a new house about a block from T-Street Beach in his hometown of San Clemente for $2.5 million.
The stone-clad Mediterranean, built in 2003, sits raised from the street with a two-car garage.
Within the 3,000 square feet of living space is a great room, a formal dining room and a kitchen with granite countertops. The main floor master suite has dual vanities and a walk-in closet for a total of four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
Sliding glass doors open to a landscaped backyard with a patio, two built-in barbecues and an outdoor fireplace. Elsewhere, an in-ground spa completes the setting.
The house came on the market in May for $2.6 million and closed sale in about a month, records show.
Scott Kidd of HOM Sotheby’s International Realty repped both the buyer and the seller in the sale, which was first reported by TMZ.
Sheckler as a teenager starred in the MTV reality series “Life of Ryan,” which chronicled his life as an up-and-coming professional skateboarder. The 25-year-old has medaled six times, including three golds.
