Former Raider Nnamdi Asomugha zeroes in on a home sale in Manhattan Beach
A sale is pending on the Manhattan Beach home of former NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.
A few blocks from the beach, the modern-style house returned to market in January for $5.495 million, or $500,000 less than the asking price last year. Asomugha bought the house through a corporate entity in 2010 for $2.85 million, records show.
Extensively remodeled, the three-story home offers ocean views from every level. A floating staircase anchors the front entry, which gives way to open-plan space with floor-to-ceiling windows. A second-floor glass walkway tops the space.
Within the main house are two living rooms, a dining area, a kitchen with a breakfast bar, three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and an office. A guesthouse adds another bedroom and bathroom, as well as a kitchenette.
The home has more than 3,350 square feet of living space. Upper balconies overlook a small yard and grassy area.
Michael Grady and Stephen Sigoloff of the Agency are co-listing the property.
In addition to a decorated football career where he made three Pro Bowls, Asomugha is also breaking into the acting industry. He was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his role in 2017’s “Crown Heights,†and also executive produced the 2015 film “Beasts of No Nation.â€
