Chinese film star Li Bingbing checks out of gated estate in Brentwood
Chinese film actress and singer Li Bingbing has made a quick exit from her home on the Westside.
The multi-level traditional in a gated Brentwood community came on the market in late October for $2.98 million and closed sale this week for $2.75 million. She bought the house three years ago for $2.43 million, records show.
Built in 1991, the home opens to a two-story rotunda foyer with a sweeping staircase.
The home of more than 5,800 square feet of living space holds a formal living room with inlaid wood floors, a separate dining room, a wood-paneled office/library, five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The family and living room areas feature fireplaces with marble surrounds.
A sauna, a gym and a wet bar are on the finished basement level.
Outdoors, a wide deck offers city and golf course views. A gated courtyard sits off the front entrance.
Sonny Saito of Hilton and Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, and Ting Gao of Dynasty Realty were the listing agents. Paul Siau of Century 21 Masters represented the buyer.
Bingbing, 43, gained fame for her debut role in the Chinese film “Seventeen Years†(1999), for which she won a best actress award at the Singapore Film Festival. Among her American credits is “Resident Evil: Retribution†(2012) and “Transformers: Age of Extinction†(2014).
She has a role in the upcoming horror-adventure film “Nest,†which also stars Kelsey Grammer.
