John Wells, executive producer of such TV hits as “ER,†“The West Wing†and “Shameless,†has sold his home in historic Hancock Park for slightly more than $12.41 million. He bought the property through a blind trust a decade ago for $10.4 million, records show.

Built in 1925, the English Revival-style residence was once visited by President Obama, who in 2010 attended a fundraiser hosted by Wells.

The handsome brick house sits back from the street and features box hedges, gardens and mature trees along the front. Beyond the two-story entry, the 9,676-square-foot floor plan includes a formal living room, a wood-paneled library and a center-island kitchen. A gym and office/studio reside on the third floor.
