Country stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood again try to sell Malibu getaway
Country singing stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have their Malibu getaway up for sale again at $7.5 million – the same price they were asking about this time last year.
The single-story, ranch-style house, built in 1958, was remodeled eight years ago and features vaulted ceilings and skylights. Clerestory windows and walls of glass bring light into the 4,236 square feet of interiors.
There are multiple fireplaces, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms including the master suite.
The half-acre of wooded grounds includes beach access, lawn, an outdoor fireplace and a sports court.
Brooks, 53, is a two-time Grammy Award winner whose fusion of country and rock gained a massive crossover audience. Among the best-selling of his 20 albums are “No Fences,” “Ropin’ the Wind” and “Double Live.” He retired from 2001 to 2009. Last year he released his newest album, “Man Against the Machine.”
Yearwood, 50, is a three-time Grammy winner for “How Do I Live,” “In Another’s Eyes” and “I Fall to Pieces.”
The couple bought the gated house in 2008 for $4.95 million.
Kathrin Nicholson of the Agency is the listing agent for the property, which is being marketed outside of the Multiple Listing Service.
