Onetime Cher, Eddie Murphy haunt in Beverly Hills asking nearly $70 million
Back in the days when hair was big, Cher spent her share of time strutting the halls of a Beverly Hills mansion that has come on the market at $69.995 million.
The pop superstar and “Moonstruck†Oscar winner sold in 1988 to actor Eddie Murphy — the asking price then was $6.3 million. With that kind of Hollywood provenance, it’s not surprising the place raises eyebrows even today.
For starters, there’s the ample 32,000 square feet of interiors. Among the living spaces is an atrium, a home theater, a gym and maid’s quarters. In all, there are 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms.
In addition to the 20,000-square-foot main house is a 7,000-square-foot Moroccan guesthouse with authentic tiles, hand-carved doors and coffered ceilings.
Then there are the grounds. The equestrian-zoned 16 acres has riding trails, woodland, five stables and two white-gravel rings. A tennis court sits near the main house.
The property was previously listed for sale two years ago at $85 million.
