David Hasselhoff sells Encino estate for $3.5 million

Actor-singer David Hasselhoff has sold his longtime family home in Encino at $3.549 million.

The 8,947-square-foot Southern Colonial, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, sits on nearly 1.5 acres entered through double gates.

A tree-lined drive leads to the two-story home, which has a two-story great room with soaring ceilings looking out on the backyard and a boulder-lined swimming pool with spa. There is a formal dining room, a screening room, two guesthouses and a tennis court.

Hasselhoff, 60, starred in “Baywatch†from 1989 to 2000 and “Knight Rider†(1982-86). He made a splash as a judge on “America’s Got Talent†judge from 2006-09.

In addition to his work in films and on other television shows, the Hoff has had a strong following in Europe as a recording artist since the late ‘80s.

The property was purchased in 1996 for $1.98 million.

Gina Martino of the Agency, Beverly Hills, was the listing agent. Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker’s Beverly Hills North office and Barbara Tenenbaum of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.
