When a store won’t honor a price-match guarantee

Eddy recently purchased a massage chair at one of those stores that sells high-end electronic gadgets. He says he was told that if he subsequently spotted the chair offered for less elsewhere, the store would match the price.
Guess what? Eddy says he found it cheaper online.
But he says when he returned to the store and asked about the price match, he was told that the store would lose money if it honored the bargain.

Eddy wants to know what recourse he has in a situation like this.
It’s a good question. Some salespeople will promise anything to close a deal, but will sing a different tune afterward.
