Adults can legally buy cigarettes. They can legally smoke them (in many places).
Nancy wants to know if employers have a right to test job applicants for nicotine use, and to deny them jobs if they test positive.

It’s a contentious subject. It could easily be argued that people have a right to live as they choose, even if that means engaging in self-destructive behavior.
But employers have a right to hire as they please, as long as they don’t violate any laws.
