Los Angeles ranked 26 out of 50 in employee satisfaction, with San Jose and San Francisco taking the lead, a survey found.
The inquiry by Glassdoor, a jobs site that collects workplace information from employees, ranked 50 of the country’s largest metropolitan areas based on reviews by 500 employees over the past year.
The City of Angels came in at 34 when it came to compensation and benefits satisfaction. The inquiry also found that about 7,650 area employers were hiring.

New York City led the way with the most employers hiring at 11,024, followed by Chicago’s 7,824 and Los Angeles.
In terms of business outlook optimism, 36% of L.A. employees expect business to get better in the next six months, 38% expect it to stay the same and 26% expect it to get worse.
Employees in Indianapolis are the most optimistic about business outlook, as 54% believe it will get better in the next six months, 27% believe it will stay the same and 19% believe it will get worse. This is followed by employees in San Francisco and Detroit.
