Up next for Ducks: Sunday vs. Phoenix

Update: Veteran defenseman Andreas Lilja, signed by the Ducks to a one-year contract Monday, was activated after receiving his work visa, which had expired. To make space on the roster, 20-year-old Luca Sbisa was reassigned to Syracuse (N.Y.), the Ducks’ American Hockey League affiliate. A native of Sweden, Lilja, 35, should help solidify the defense corps. The Ducks will try to rebound from Friday’s shootout loss to Atlanta. Also on Sunday, the Ducks will host a Hockey Fights Cancer night. The Ducks have three cancer survivors on the roster — center Saku Koivu and left wings Jason Blake and Aaron Voros.
