Update: The Lakers, who have won at Milwaukee and Detroit on this trip, defeated the Timberwolves by only five points at home last week. Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said Minnesota Coach Kurt Rambis, the former Lakers assistant, said after the game: “Thanks for sticking some of your ‘dirty lineup’ out there in the floor, which is a joke between the two of us.” Minnesota has weapons in Kevin Love, the former UCLA player who has been on a rebounding rampage recently, and Michael Beasley, who has scored 25-plus points in five consecutive games.
