Update: The Ducks are back in their comfort zone with seven of their next eight at home, where they are 7-1-1. They are coming off a winless trip, but it was a sharp contrast from the season-opening trip when they went 0-3 and were outscored, 13-2. This time, they picked up two points with two overtime losses, and all three games were one-goal margins. The Blue Jackets, 5-3 winners over the Kings at Staples Center on Wednesday, have been surprisingly strong on the road, going 5-1. They defeated the Ducks in Columbus on Oct. 20, 3-1, behind two goals from Rick Nash.
