Devil’s Rope Museum, 100 Kingsley St., McLean, Texas; (806) 779-2225, https://www.barbwiremuseum .com. Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday March through November. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.
While in McLean, also visit the beautifully restored Phillips 66 service station. Opened in 1928 along the former Route 66, it was the company’s first outside Oklahoma. The dollhouse-like building is authentic, right down to its pink-painted walls.
