Common began his career as a rapper and has recorded more than eight albums. His 2004 collaboration with Kanye West was nominated for four Grammy Awards, and his latest album was nominated for best rap album. He made his acting debut in 2007’s “Smokin’ Aces” and has since appeared in “American Gangster,” “Street Kings,” “Wanted” and “Terminator Salvation.” Most recently, he acted in “Date Night” opposite Steve Carell and Tina Fey.
