Holiday Walk on Melrose Holiday shopping is made fun — or at least aggressively festive — during the third annual walk. The streets of West Hollywood along Melrose will be filled with live music, carolers, food trucks and entertainment as retailers including Alberta Ferretti, Arcade Boutique, Beckley, Bodhi Tree Bookshop, CoCo de Mer, Costella & Donola Co-op, Gallery Aryai, Helmut Lange, J Gerard Design Studio and Kitson extend their hours (and lots of specials) for your convenience. Melrose Avenue from San Vicente Boulevard to Orlando Avenue. 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. https://www.avenueswh.com

Millennium Magic 11 This is the kind of event where you’d do wise to watch your wallet. Not because you’ll spend so much but because it could disappear via sleight of hand or any other form of prestidigitation that the Magic Castle performers want to employ. Hosted by the one-man magic institution Rob Zabrecky, Millennium Magic 11 promises tricks and wonders suitable for all ages. Each night will feature a different lineup of magicians that shan’t be trusted to follow the average laws of reality. Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. West, L.A. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. $15-$20. (323) 851-7977. https://www.theatrewest.org
