Record vs. Coyotes: 2-0-0.
Update: The Ducks had a modest three-game winning streak snapped by Detroit, 4-0, on Friday, but the final score was only one of many problems. After scoring 13 goals in their three wins, the Ducks couldn’t find the back of the net against the Red Wings despite getting off 41 shots. And they were again without the services of Teemu Selanne, who sat out because of a sore groin. Whether Selanne plays against Phoenix is likely to be a game-time decision. By taking Florida to overtime before losing in a shootout Saturday in Phoenix, the Coyotes moved a point ahead of the Ducks in the Pacific Division standings, but Anaheim can jump back in front with a win in regulation Sunday. Phoenix has lost three of its last four.
