Three Gorges Dam: An article in Monday’s Section A about China’s massive Three Gorges Dam suggested that the 1989 book “Yangtze! Yangtze!†criticized, among other things, shoddy construction in the dam. The dam project did not enter construction until 1993.

Home listing: The Home of the Week Update in Sunday’s Business section said a San Marino property at 1130 Shenandoah Road and 1120 Shenandoah Road had been reduced 27.2% to $11.5 million from $15.8 million. The $11.5-million price is for a new, separate listing of 1130 Shenandoah Road only, which includes the main residence on more than an acre of property. The lot at 1120 Shenandoah has the tennis court, pool and spa, pool house and bocce ball court on about an acre. There has been no change in the $15.8-million price for the combined properties.

Magazine editors: An article in Saturday’s Home section about staff shuffles at magazines referred to former House & Garden Editor Dominique Browning as Dominique Brown.

Bobby Thomson: An obituary of New York Giants baseball player Bobby Thomson in Wednesday’s LATExtra section reported that one of New York’s three baseball teams (Giants, Yankees or Dodgers) played in every World Series from 1947 to 1957. In fact, the Cleveland Indians defeated the Boston Braves in the 1948 World Series.

Obama’s visit: An article in Wednesday’s LATExtra section about how President Obama’s visit to Los Angeles this week caused major traffic problems for some said public relations professional Karen Diehl had a lengthy commute to her Santa Monica office. Diehl’s office is in West L.A.

PGA Championship: In Monday’s Sports section, a caption with a photo that accompanied an article on the PGA Championship said the woman shown hugging tournament winner Martin Kaymer was his wife, Rina. Kaymer is not married. The woman is his girlfriend, Alison Micheletti.

Sparks basketball: In Sunday’s Sports section, a box score from Saturday’s Los Angeles Sparks WNBA game showed Tulsa scoring 71 points in the first quarter. Tulsa scored 17 points in the first quarter; L.A. won the game, 92-87.
