Music lovers will fill the streets and throw up the funk sign at the second annual Long Beach Funk Fest, a day-long celebration of interplanetary grooves. The Ladies of P-Funk — an all-female collective of Parliament-Funkadelic alumni — top the bill, which also features the Original Stone City Band, the Big Ol’ Nasty Getdown and plenty more. As a karmic bonus, the festival’s stages are solar-powered. Pine Avenue and Broadway, Long Beach. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat. Free. https://www.lbfunkfest.com
