Celebrating the burgeoning experimental folk scene in L.A., the New Los Angeles Folk Festival is all about this generation’s take on a musical genre that’s rich in historical overtones. Acoustic, electric, traditional and avant-garde, the eclectic lineup includes Linda Perhacs, Ariana Delawari, Mia Doi Todd, Les Shelleys, L.A. Ladies’ Choir, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister and many more. Festival proceeds will go to the Environmental Defense Fund. Historical Monument 157, 3110 N. Broadway., L.A. 2 p.m.-midnight. $15.
