I just finished reading Matea Gold’s article about the CBS TV show “The Good Wife” (“Standing By Her Man,” Sept. 20). While I’d like to believe that the “husband-and-wife team of Robert and Michelle King hit on the idea after a string of sex scandals,” it’s very possible they simply watched the excellent “Masterpiece Theatre” British drama of 1995 “The Politician’s Wife” and sold it to a bunch of ignorant executives at CBS as their own.
