at No. 6 Boise State 63, Idaho 25: Kellen Moore threw four touchdown passes to Austin Pettis and tied a career high with five overall, and the No. 6 Broncos (10-0, 5-0) overwhelmed the visiting Vandals (7-4, 4-3) in a Western Athletic Conference game. Titus Young had a 100-yard kickoff return that was actually longer and Kyle Wilson returned an interception 71 yards for another score for big-play Boise, which beat its rival for the 11th consecutive time.
In other WAC games: Luke Lippincott rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns to lead Nevada (7-3, 6-0) to a 52-14 win over visiting Fresno State (6-4, 5-2). Nevada rolled up 461 yards on the ground. . . . Robert Turbin ran for 190 yards and two touchdowns to lead Utah State (3-7, 2-4) to a 24-9 win over visiting San Jose State (1-8, 0-5). . . . Greg Salas had a school record 16 catches for 196 yards to lead Hawaii (4-6, 2-5) to a 24-6 win over visiting New Mexico State (3-7, 1-4).
In Mountain West Conference games: Max Hall passed for two touchdowns and got his 29th win at Brigham Young (8-2, 5-1) to match Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer’s school record, and the No. 22 Cougars survived for a 24-19 win over host New Mexico (0-10, 0-6). . . . Asher Clark ran for career highs of three touchdowns and 160 yards and Air Force (7-4, 5-2) totaled 431 yards on the ground in a 45-17 romp over Nevada Las Vegas (4-7, 2-5). . . . Ian Watts kicked a 43-yard field goal with 23 seconds left to lift Wyoming (5-5, 3-3) to a 30-27 win at San Diego State (4-6, 2-4).
In games involving Southland teams: Running back Justin Fontenberry threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to Eric Fiege in the fourth quarter to lift San Diego (4-6, 3-5) to a 13-7 win over host Morehead State (2-8, 0-7) in a Pioneer League game. . . . Noah Shepard threw for 413 yards and five touchdowns to lead South Dakota (5-5, 2-2) to a 50-48 win over host Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (4-6, 1-3) in a Great West Conference game. . . . Jericho Toilolo threw three touchdown passes to lead host Cal Lutheran (8-1, 6-0) to a 30-21 victory over Redlands (7-2, 4-2) and clinched the school’s first outright SCIAC championship and first NCAA Division III tournament appearance. . . . Scott Saunders passed for 267 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for a 24-yard score to lead visiting Occidental (7-2, 5-1) to a 44-23 win over Whittier (3-6, 1-5) in a SCIAC game. . . . In their annual rivalry game, Claremont-Mudd (5-4, 3-3) held on for a 28-21 win over Pomona-Pitzer (4-5, 2-4). . . . Blake Vanderweil threw two touchdown passes to lead visiting Chapman (4-5) to a 17-14 win over La Verne (0-9).
