Branching out: Sherri Shepherd, one of the hosts of the ABC daytime talk show “The View,†will star in a sitcom for Lifetime, “Sherri,†about a newly divorced mom.
Cut loose: Chace Crawford, who plays Nate on “Gossip Girl,†will reprise Kevin Bacon’s role in a remake of the 1984 film “Footloose.†Zac Efron originally was set to play the part but dropped out of the project in March.
