Authorities were searching Sunday for the driver of a minivan that sped through a Lynwood intersection and collided with a Honda sedan, splitting it in half and killing its driver.
The hit-and-run accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The driver of the minivan fled the scene, but a passenger was detained shortly after the crash.
