* at San Antonio 99, Minnesota 84: The Spurs reached the 50-win mark and moved into second place in the West and are just percentage points behind New Orleans. After the Spurs squandered most of a 20-point lead in the third quarter, Manu Ginobili took over. He scored 11 points during a span of 1:51 -- including three three-pointers -- to give them an 88-72 lead with just over six minutes to play.
* at Atlanta 106, Chicago 103: The Bulls twice closed to within a point in the final minutes and had a chance to force overtime in the closing seconds. Ben Gordon, who scored 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, missed a long three-point shot as the horn sounded. The Hawks, trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999, increased their lead on New Jersey to 1 1/2 games for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. The loss was a blow to Chicago’s playoff hopes. The Bulls have lost four of five and dropped four games behind the Hawks with only 10 left.
* at Indiana 123, New Jersey 115: Vince Carter scored 33 points and Devin Harris scored a career-high 27, but it wasn’t enough for the Nets, who remained a game ahead of the Pacers in the East. The Pacers held New Jersey to eight-for-24 shooting in the fourth quarter.
* at Toronto 103, New York 95: The Knicks officially dropped out of playoff contention. “It’s disappointing,” Knicks Coach Isiah Thomas said. “We definitely had high hopes coming into the season. I always thought we would be a playoff team this year. I’m disappointed that we’re not.”
* Phoenix 107, at Philadelphia 93: The Suns avoided their first three-game losing streak of the season. They lost consecutive road games at Detroit and Boston, but had no problem routing the 76ers. Philadelphia fell to 11-3 in March and lost for only the second time in its last 14 home games.
* Orlando 103, at Milwaukee 86: The Magic rolled to its franchise-record 24th road victory. Orlando improved to 24-13 on the road. The team was 15-26 last season.
* Washington 114, at Sacramento 108: Darius Songaila scored seven points in the final 59 seconds to help hold off the Kings. A three-point play by Ron Artest cut the margin to 111-108 with five seconds left, but Songaila made two free throws to help the clinch the victory.
* Charlotte 96, at Seattle 93: Raymond Felton made a 20-foot shot with 49.8 seconds left to give the Bobcats a 92-91 lead. On the SuperSonics’ next possession, Earl Watson turned the ball over. Felton was then fouled with 9.6 seconds left and he made both free throws.
* at Boston 112, New Orleans 92: The Celtics have beaten every team at least once this season for the first time since 1990-91.
* at Utah 121, Clippers 101: The Clippers have lost 32 of their last 33 games to the Jazz in Salt Lake City.
* Memphis 114, at Lakers 111: The loss kept the Lakers from joining New Orleans and San Antonio in a three-way tie for the Western Conference lead.
