Court lifts order against union

A court official Tuesday lifted a temporary restraining order secured against the Service Employees International Union over a dispute with the California Nurses Assn.
Alameda County Superior Court Commissioner Jon Rantzman ruled that the restraining order was “not supported” by the evidence filed by the nurses association.
Last week, the nurses association accused the union of stalking and harassing its board members over a labor dispute in Ohio.
Union officials have said they were driving a nurse and respiratory therapist to board members’ homes to peacefully express their disapproval of the nurses association’s tactics.
The two nationwide unions have a long, acrimonious rivalry.
