High school volleyball: The Sunday Sports section reported that the Valencia boys’ volleyball team was ranked No. 4 in the nation by StudentSportsVolleyball.com and that it defeated No. 1 Newport Harbor for the Santa Barbara tournament championship. Valencia was ranked No. 1 and was upset by No. 4 Newport Harbor.
