Man held in beating death

A suspect has been arrested in the slaying of a one-legged homeless man who was beaten with one of his crutches, police said Tuesday.
Ross Ivy, 27, was arrested on the same downtown block where the beating took place 15 hours earlier, authorities said. Police said that Ivy and Gregory Willis, 41, had an argument and that Ivy took one of Willis’ crutches and beat him.
