Suspect confronts police with rifle, is shot to death

A Las Vegas fugitive was shot and killed by Santa Ana police Tuesday when officers attempted a traffic stop and he emerged from his vehicle with a rifle, authorities said.
Kevin Spitznogle, 29, of Las Vegas was wanted in the murder of a former co-worker and had been placed under surveillance shortly before the shooting in the 2900 block of North Bristol Street, police said.
