City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo has agreed to pay $11,450 in administrative penalties to settle allegations by the Los Angeles Ethics Commission’s executive director that he committed 30 counts of violating campaign finance rules, officials said Tuesday.
In 25 cases, Delgadillo’s political officeholder account failed to provide a detailed listing to show how meals, flowers and other expenses he reported related to his conduct of city business.
Delgadillo also admitted to five counts of using his political officeholder account to make prohibited payments to consultants and researchers during a blackout period when he was running for reelection. The expenditures were made in the run-up to his reelection in 2005.
Delgadillo said that any violations were inadvertent.
