* Florida 6, at Atlanta 4: Benefiting from a couple of walks, an error by left fielder Willie Harris and a strikeout that didn’t result in an out, the Marlins sent eight hitters to the plate and scored four runs against Tim Hudson (6-4) in the fifth inning.
* San Francisco 8, at Philadelphia 1: Barry Zito (6-5) won his third straight start by allowing only an unearned run over six innings and Ryan Klesko hit a three-run homer for the Giants.
* Chicago 7, at Milwaukee 2: Alfonso Soriano had five hits, including a three-run home run, for the Cubs. Soriano, who also had four singles, has homered in three straight games.
* Dodgers 6, at Pittsburgh 5: The loss sent the Pirates to 2-5 on a seven-game homestand.
