Woman, 82, is apparent homicide victim

An 82-year-old woman was found dead in her Reseda home Tuesday morning, an apparent homicide victim, authorities said.
The body of Rosa O. Ramos was discovered by her daughter at 10:50 a.m. in the bedroom of her home in the 6400 block of Topeka Drive, which is near Victory Boulevard, said Los Angeles police spokesman Mike Lopez. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives from the West Valley Division were investigating the case. Police declined to provide details on how Ramos appeared to have been killed.
